Church of the Holy apostles
This ancient church was built by Constantine as the resting place of Byzantine emperors, and several apostles. This church was destroyed in the Crusades, and the materials that were left of the building were used to build the Fatih Mosque.
Kariye Camii
Built during the 11th century, the Kariye Camii (St.Savior in Chora) in Istanbul contains one of the finest preserved galleries of Byzantine mosaics and frescoes anywhere.
Hagia Sophia
The Hagia Sophia, an important monument for both Byzantine and for the Ottoman Empires. The building was once a church, then later on a mosque, but now a museum at the Turkish Republic.
Blue mosque
With the cascading domes and six slender minarets of the Blue Mosque takes control of the skyline of Istanbul. The beautiful site was built by Sultan Ahmet I to rival Hagia Sophia in 17th-century.
bosphorus strait
The Bosphorus Strait, splitting the Asian and European sides of Turkey is known for its popular waterways, as many as 50,000 water vessels travel between the Sea of Marmara and the Black Sea. There are thousands of luxury liners, passenger ferries, fishing boats, oil and gas tankers, and naval vessels cruise the 32km-long waterway, from morning to night. In the Bosphorus Strait it is very hard to manoeuvre through the liitle space, but all take the risk to travel the strait.
