With Istanbul's upcoming growth in population and the advanced architecture of the 20th century will cause the modernization of the housing in and around Istanbul. In the second half of the 20th century the new apartments and expanded residential housing complexes will house the increasing mega cites population.
Transportation
In Istanbul there is a rail service along the walls of the old city, and Haydarpasa station, which is on the Asian side of the city, is the starting point of the Baghdad Railways. Maritime services that are possible to take in Istanbul include harbour dinghies and small ferries to the international liners. Buses are provided in the city to provide urban transportation around Istanbul. Also the Istanbul Atatürk Airport is close to the city’s centre and provides both overseas and domestic service.
